Visiting a neighbor is such a treat for those who work, have a family to care for, or live the dedicated volunteer life. These visits have many opportunities to photograph beautiful gardens and singularly stunning blooms, in addition to catching a brief chat with your neighbor.
This Camellia is one of the largest I have photographed in my neighborhood or anywhere else in my travels. The graceful and delicate white petals flow around the brilliant golden center. It just dazzles me. I never tire of it as it hangs on my office wall in a very large white frame. It has been made into my business card and also a greeting card.
